描述/要求：

Work Location: Bohai Bay FPSO

Purpose:

The safe operation of low pressure boilers and associated steam system on the COPC Bohai Bay Peng Bo FPSO

Accountabilities and End Results:

Responsible for the day to day reliable operation of a 650,000 lbs/hr. (150 psi / 1034 kPa) s team generation and distribution system used primarily for process heat and consisting of:

3 Alborg 172,000 lbs/hr marine style boilers operating in an industrial application.
2 Broach 165,000 lbs/hr HRSG's linked to 2 Frame 5 35,000 HP GE Turbines.
Associated condensate and feed water systems.

Primary Functions:

Supports and satisfies the policies, goals, efforts and programs of the BU's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. Ensures HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility.
Support the Marine Supervisor and provide guidance to the FPSO operating staff for development of relevant skills and work practices on the boiler and steam system.
Start-up and shut down boilers and associated steam system.
Monitoring of the automatic operation of the boilers and the manual adjustments of set-points and parameters as required.
Have clear understanding of Boiler Management Systems and Boiler Control Systems.
Extensive knowledge and experience in boiler water/condensate testing and lab equipment associated with steam system testing.
Perform regular drum blow down operations.
Carry out soot blowing operations.
Monitor operating data and review efficiency optimization data and make the proper adjustments to maintain maximum efficiency.
Solve technical problems related to steam generators/steam system equipment and water treatment.
Be familiar with the hazards of boiler operations and enforce all necessary safety precautions.
Carry out routine first line maintenance and assist in any major repair/ maintenance work performed by the Maintenance department, Vendor or Class surveyor.
Fully understand the procedures involving the treatment of boiler water.
Assist in efforts for continuous spare parts evaluation and appropriate stocking levels.
Perform housekeeping activities in the boiler room and immediate area.
Participate in emergency response teams
Troubleshoot problems, identify functional failures and initiate CM orders in SAP.
Requisition materials via SAP
Develop detailed handover notes of all shift activities of the assigned area of responsibility for the incoming relieving personnel at the end of each daily and monthly shift.

Critical Skills:

Extensive knowledge of field HSE management systems and emergency response practices.
Extensive experience operating low pressure boilers and steam systems in an Offshore or Marine environment.
Experience in oil and gas production and marine systems.
Good leadership qualities
Good mentoring skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment.
Familiar with applicable boiler an d steam system codes and regulatory requirements
Ability to conduct technical training with peers
SAP experience
Microsoft applications

Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to the FPSO Marine Supervisor

Challenges:

Remote offshore assignment
Minimal boiler and steam experience and steam experience in the FPSO workforce

Additional Technical skills:

Marine Certificate of Competency (Class 4 minimum STCW 95)
Chinese Boiler Operation certificate
Other certifications as required by Chinese regulations

In Bohai Bay, COPC is cooperating with China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) in the development of China's largest offshore discovery - Peng Lai (PL) 19-3. The project includes two phases of development. Production from the first phase began in December 2002. Production from the second phase utilizing a floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel is expected to begin in late 2008.
