The Management Training Program is a yearlong program designed for young gradu ates who have finished their studies and are beginning their career at L’Orea l. It is a preparatory integration stage, giving successful applicants a tailo r-made, all-rounded experience and exposure to several different aspects of on e function (sales, marketing, finance, operations, communications/PR…) before being assigned to a specific post. What is the Marketing Function? Apply A marketeer’s responsibility is to successfully manage the products in your p ortfolio in a fiercely competitive environment. It’s about having a vision fo r your brand, and achieving it - a fantastic combination of strategic thinking and daily operational challenges. Key roles and accountabilities include: • Monitoring, understanding and reporting on the performance of your bra nd and its competitors within the market. Accurately forecasting sales and pro motions • Assessing the potential for new launches and helping build successful launch plans. Conducting consumer research to identify new product opportuniti es • Building strong internal relationships with the commercial and logisti cs teams to ensure competitive pricing and promotion and a smooth supply-chain process. • Working with external agencies including design, PR and advertising What is the Sales Function? Apply There are 3 main areas in the sales: Sales Field Management You will be responsible for a part of our business in an assigned territory wi thin China. Your key role would be coaching the sales representatives teams an d developing individuals’ potential to achieve the given objectives Key Account Management You will work with large clients such as Carrefour, Watsons. Your key role wou ld be: • Negotiating with the client to build a business relationship of trust and confidence to deliver mutual business objectives. Tailoring and maximizing new launches within accounts. Putting together rationales for new product lis tings, space increases and promotions. Key competitor analysis. • Liaising with all areas of the business internally in order to assure the highest level of customer service. Monitoring sales and identifying new bu siness opportunities whilst accurately forecasting promotions and launches. Trade Marketing You are the communication link between marketing and sales teams and the key r etailers. You will influence product range reviews, undertaking data analysis, range and space evaluation, category plan grams, merchandising activities. Your key role would be: • Meeting the brands' and the key retailers' needs to grow together by i nitiating, implementing and coordinating the trade marketing plans. • Coordinating the corporate and promotional POS activities (of the bran ds and the retailers) from conception to implementation on the field. What is the Finance Function? Apply Finance takes part in the growth of our business by ensuring a high level of f inancial performance. Their constant objective is to optimize resource allocat ion to contribute effectively to the company's dynamic growth. Controlling, internal auditing, accounting and treasury ?C whatever your role, you'll work closely with General Management. Ensuring that growth equates wit h profitability and a high level of service to our customers. In finance, you will be in permanent contact with: • Your external customers: distributors and suppliers… • Your internal customers: sales / marketing department, commercial depa rtment, corporate function… You guarantee the reliability of the finance databases and have to ensure that information is structured and communicated in a timely manner. What is the Logistics Function? Apply Logistics belong to the bigger Supply Chain team. As a team, it manages all fl ow types - from raw material to finished goods, from factories to the internat ional distribution centers, from our own warehouses and then to our clients. I n logistics, you will be in permanent contact with: •your external customers: distributors, counters and suppliers •your internal customers: marketing department, commercial department, d istribution platform … You will be completely responsible for the flows you are managing and have to ensure that information is structured and communicated.
